We are so excited to announce that we have hired a Service Coordinator to work at two of our senior housing communities. Stephanie Metzger has recently joined our team to help with providing the residents of Farrell-Bell and Kenwood Place Apartments with services such as meals-on-wheels, transportation, home health aides, financial assistance, counseling, and other needed services. Her goal as the coordinator is to truly empower the resident and be there to help when and where she can. We are so thankful we can begin to offer this service to our residence.
Here is some fun information to let you know a little more about Stephanie.
How long have you been living in Indianapolis?
I have been living in Indianapolis for a little less than 4 weeks. I got married about a month ago and then moved here.
Where did you go to school?
I graduated from Ball State University (chirp! chirp!)
What do you love most about your career?
One thing that I love about my career is that my faith and work are wholly integrated. I am convinced that, as a follower of Christ, I must be working to bring restoration to the brokenness in the world. The hope that my faith provides is the motivation for what I do.
So far, what have you loved about working at Farrell-Bell and Kenwood Place?
As the new service coordinator at Farrell-Bell and Kenwood Place, I have loved getting to know the residents and am excited to help and empower them in tangible ways.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself…
Oh man… Um… I am from Pittsburgh but do not like the Steelers… I am a vegetarian but my last name means “Butcher” in German… I have trained extensively in classical ballet. I love Emily Dickinson’s poetry… I don’t know!
The Voice or America’s Got Talent?
I’ve never watched either. If I had to choose one, I’d say The Voice because it has a more interesting concept (in theory). My favorite of those types of shows is So You Think You Can Dance!
Welcome to the team Stephanie!!
